Thursday, 12/06/01: Tennessee: Federal share too short to maintain TennCare:"Tennessee may have to come up with an additional $200 million in state funds to continue TennCare next year, unless federal officials agree to increase the amount they're willing to spend on the program.
The federal government funds about two-thirds of TennCare's $5.6 billion budget, which includes nursing home care and services to people with mental retardation, besides health services to 1.4 million low-income, disabled and previously uninsured Tennesseans."
